Hi Dennis, Microsoft has a free antivirus program right now. I am using it. It has located one malware instance so far.
ReplyDeletePrior to this computer I used the Microsoft ONE CARE protection software and had great luck with it. It cleaned some things off my system that I couldn't get rid of with Norton and MacAfee. I contacted Microsoft a couple of times for help with it and they were very responsive (though you do have to be willing to really look for the contact info). With the ONE CARE, they started out free and then started to charge $40. a year to cover 3 computers, which I expected them to do, and which isn't that much more than Norton or the others charge, and they will cover only 1 computer.
Hi Dennis, Here is where you can get the free download!

There are also free programs online that aren't microsoft. Avast is a decent anti virus and Malwarebytes is great for malware.
